The SMB Recognition Award aimed to recognize star performers and to inspire and stimulate perseverence, value innovation and eccellence amongst SMB (Small Medium Industry) in the highly competitive business environment, both locally and globally.

The SMB Recognition Award "ICT Adoption" was a recognition of CompuMed's standing in the SMB community, a role model to our industry and once again, first in our industry to received such a prestigious award and another key milestone to CompuMed. The success story continued in 2007 when we receive the same award for two consecutive years.

CompuMed is a MSC Malaysia Status company since 2006. The Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) is Malaysia's most exciting initiative for the global information and communication technology (ICT) industry.

The conferment of MSC status for CompuMed is principally in recognition of CompuMed's adoption of ICT technology and tools, and the Company's strength in R&D and development of enterprise applications within the MSC and provision of Specialised Medical Call Centre; in line with Malaysia's vision as and international hub and providers of Shared Services Outsourcing (SSO) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO).

The conferment of MSC-Status has allowed CompuMed to tap on growth opportunities to realize its corporate objectives. The planned activity fits into the "Software R&D and Shared Services & Outsourcing Clusters" flagship application as promoted by the MDeC, and aims to be a significant contributor in building up the knowledge domain within the ICT research and development industry catering to the insurance and healthcare services sectors in Malaysia.

CompuMed is ISO 9001 certified for quality excellence in management of health care insurance scheme and third party administration. Making us Malaysia's first and only ISO-certified TPA in the mentioned scopes. We have went through several rounds of surveillance audits and managed to convert our ISO 9001:2000 certification to ISO 9001:2008 in 2009.

It is widely acknowledged that proper quality management improves business, often having a positive effect on investment, market share, sales growth, sales margins, competitive advantage, and avoidance of litigation. Some of the benefits of receiving certification are apparent in improved documentation internally and externally. It is also a catalyst for improved morale and pride among employees as the company receives better market recognition in the industry.

In summary, ISO 9000 guidelines provide a comprehensive model for quality management systems that can make any company competitive. Our ISO 9001 certification ensures business processes are in an orderly and structured way. It helps increase in customer satisfaction level, as customer needs are better understood.
